Jenolan Caves Adventure Tours
Unfortunately there is no public transport to the Jenolan Caves even though it is only a 2.5 hour journey from Sydney via the M4 Motorway. Travelling to the Jenolan Caves are comfortable, as there are sealed roads for the entire journey. Known to the aborigines as "Binoomea" (meaning Dark Places), European involvement in the area began in 1838 who named it what it is know as today. Cave tours are guided with guides being a wealth of knowledge of when the caves were discovered and by who. Once in the caves, you will notice the caves are well foot-pathed, although there are steep and narrow sections and people are claustrophobic should be warned. Cave tours cost approximately $24.00 but prices may vary depending on the chosen cave tour.
